  • Rob Lotus P.E. Vice President

    Rob Lotus joined Darin Fong and Associates (DFA) as a Project Manager in early 2020. Prior to joining DFA, he has obtained nearly 18 years of design experience with Ajit Randhava and Associates, BTI and Associates, Miyamoto International in Orange County, and HSA and Associates. His experience includes various types of structures, both new and existing, commercial buildings, retail structures, office buildings, manufacturing facilities and “Big Box” tilt-up distribution centers. Rob strives to oversee his projects from inception to completion while maintaining a hands-on approach. This has provided him with the opportunity to grow as an engineer, while also providing efficient solutions throughout the design and construction stage during the project lifespan. Notable projects in Rob’s career include: Nongshim Facility Expansion, Amazon Fulfillment Centers throughout California, La Sierra University School of Business, Westlake Park Place Office Complex, Quinn CAT headquarter, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group Manufacturing and Distribution Facility and County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency Facility.

  • Tom Liu, S.E. Vice President

    Tom Liu joined Darin Fong Associates (DFA) as a Project Manager in the Orange County office in 2020. Prior to joining the DFA team, he worked as an engineer at Miyamoto International in Orange County and HSA and Associates in La Mirada for nearly 8 years. He has completed design of new tilt up building of total over 30 million sq. ft. of building area throughout the United States. His tilt-up project experience includes multi-story tilt-up buildings, medical office buildings, million-square-foot warehouses with multi-story work platform, built-to-suit building and seismic retrofit of existing tilt up buildings. His experience also includes design on commercial, residential, retail, tenant improvement, and hospital (OSHPD) with various building materials such as steel, concrete, timber, masonry, and light gauge steel. Notable projects in Tom’s career includes many Amazon Fulfillment Centers in multiple states, The Park at Crossroad (4 story tilt-up office building), Bobrick Headquarter Facility, and Mountain Grove Retail Center.

  • Aaron Garner P.E. Vice President

    Aaron Garner joined Darin Fong and Associates (DFA) as a Vice President in 2023. Prior to joining DFA, he supported several different roles in the Hilti North American Corporate Headquarters ranging from bid & proposal management, project management, product management, and marketing. The main role held during his seven years with Hilti was managing the project management team for all of Hilti North America, including overseeing large data center facilities achieving roughly $20M in revenue over 5 years. Prior to Hilti, Aaron had obtained nearly 13 years of design experience in various types of structures and buildings. During his employment at Kramer & Lawson, Inc. (currently Kramer Engineering, Inc.), HSA & Associates in La Mirada, and Miyamoto International’s Orange County office, his responsibilities included structural design, design coordination, construction administration, and senior level review/mentorship for projects including new and existing: commercial buildings, retail structures, office buildings, manufacturing facilities and “Big Box” tilt-up distribution centers. Notable projects in Aaron’s career include: Skechers Distribution Center, Stater Brother’s Distribution Center, Redlands Commerce Center, REDA Birch Medical Office Building, The Chugh Firm three story office building, and Ameritex Pipe and Products in Texas.
